DESCRIPTION:Calling the people of Maine! \nDo you want to help protect environmental rights in Maine? \nComplete our Getting Up to Speed to Lead Program to become a committed Volunteer Leader for the Pine Tree Amendment and Green Amendment Movement. \nSecuring environmental rights in Maine can be a daunting task when you don’t have the proper knowledge\, tools\, and guidance. This two-session\, hands-on training program will help you have a detailed understanding of amendment language and feel prepared to take on the activities needed to drive this movement forward. \nRegister here! \nTo become a Green Amendment Leader\, you MUST commit to the sessions below:\nSession 1: February 22\, 6:30-8:00pm ET on Zoom\nSession 2: March 1\, 6:30-8:00pm ET on Zoom \nLearn how to:\n*talk about the Maine Green Amendment and refer to resources\n*discuss the benefits of a Green Amendment and how it can help end Environmental Racism\n*ask and gain support from others including legislators\, individuals\, businesses\, civic or environmental groups\n*craft and give a testimonial and/or Letter to the Editor unique to your story \nAt completion of this program\, participants are expected to take the knowledge and skills onward into their communities. \nAre YOU Ready to become a Green Amendment Leader?
